This weekend, we come to part two of our series on “CONNECTION.” It is our responsibility to be discerning when it comes to the opinions and beliefs of those around us. It can be easy to be swept up into popular thinking, but we must remember that this church family is a blessing and not something to be taken for granted.
In fact, recent events should show us that God is still very much guiding and guarding America. It is time for believers to set the example of returning to the truth of God’s Word. This is the bedrock upon which our country was founded and it is the guiding light that will lead us into the future. This weekend, we will be reminded that we do in fact live in a great nation.

God designed land and sea in such a way that they would be perfectly suited to sustain the life that would soon fill them. This should amaze and inspire us to be obedient to God and to serve in church. This weekend, as we continue to look at the account of creation in Genesis 1, we are focusing on the actual days themselves. There are many debates and opinions surround how long these days actually were. Through this message, we will understand not only that these were literal 24-hour days, but also how that impacts our understanding of creation itself. The title of this weekend’s message is “24.”

This weekend, we will begin a series of messages that examine Peter’s encouragement to his readers, asking them to be of one mind. Unity is especially important when living in exile. As believers, we must function in unity in order to be effective, but to do that, you and I must pursue the mind of Christ. The title of this weekend’s message is “ONE MIND.”
In this first message, we will focus on Peter’s reminders to both wives and husbands regarding how they ought to treat one another. Peter wants his readers to understand that they ought to model themselves after their forefathers, Abraham and Sarah, rather than the world around them. Isaiah writes about Jesus’ seeing generations beyond Himself, pointing forward to the resurrection and His victory over death and the grave. Isaiah 53 is only mentioned a handful of times in the New Testament, but Peter’s use of the passage is the one of the most significant. We will take a look at Jesus’ death on the cross and its effect on our lives. The title of this series is “ATONEMENT.”
