End-Times Prophecy | Act Two: Preaching Matters

In this weekend’s message, we are continuing to walk through the book of Romans. Paul addresses the topic of preaching and its unique place in the plan of God. Personal evangelism is obviously important, but there is something special and important about a man of God opening the Bible and exhorting, admonishing, and encouraging a body of believers. What place does preaching have in the plan of God? Come find out this weekend!
End-Times Prophecy: Spirit Minded (Part 2) by Abidan Shah, PhD

This weekend, we will continue our study of the Holy Spirit. Paul writes in Romans that the Holy Spirit serves as our intercessor, going before God the Father on our behalf. Understanding the work of the Holy Spirit is vital to our growth and maturity as believers. Being spirit-minded is how we take our eyes off this world and focus them on Christ.
Imposter by Abidan Shah, PhD

This weekend, we learn about Gideon’s successor, Abimelech. He played the part of a leader of God’s people, but he was a power-hungry charlatan. God’s people disobeyed as a result of his leadership and suffered the consequences. The Holy Spirit of God wants to put us on to accomplish God’s work but will not work through someone who is faking their faith or going through the motions. The title of this weekend’s message is “IMPOSTER”.
Tracking: Level Three by Abidan Shah, PhD
This weekend, we come to the conclusion of Peter’s list of components of our spiritual life. Peter lists these characteristics as markers of God working in our lives, evidence of the Holy Spirit refining us and making us more like Christ. The question is: will we allow this process or fight against it? So many times, we are tempted to resist God’s prompting and do our own thing, but God has called us to a life of obedience. This weekend’s message is titled “TRACKING LEVEL THREE”.
Church-Autopsy: Earshot by Abidan Shah, PhD

This weekend, we are celebrating communion together. This is a family meal, reminding us of what Christ has done and who we are in him. The churches in Revelation missed this principle. Communion unifies us and refocuses us on the truth of the gospel. We cannot afford to misunderstand or misrepresent the Lord’s Supper and risk going the way of those seven churches. The title of this weekend’s message is “CHURCH-AUTOPSY: EARSHOT.”
Sanctification by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are taking a look at the ongoing process after the moment a person gets saved. The Christian life is about God molding us and making us more like Christ. Much like metals are refined and made purer, the life of the believer is a process of God developing Christian character within us. The title of this weekend’s message is “SANCTIFICATION.”
Mindset: Part 2 by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are continuing our study of the mind that God has given us. Having laid the foundation of our series titled “MIND RESET,” we are turning our attention to the mind itself. How is it structured and influenced? Many will point to genetics and upbringing as the determining factors that shape a person’s mind. But can the mind be renewed? This weekend’s message is titled “MINDSET PART TWO.”
Uncomfortable Obedience by Pastor Shah
UNCOMFORTABLE OBEDIENCE by Pastor Shah, Clearview Church, Henderson (A Christmas Eve Message, Christmas 2018) Introduction: Thank you once again for being here this evening. For the next few minutes, I want to talk to you about “Uncomfortable Obedience.” There are many things that God commands us to do that we can do with a joyful and a […]
Beyond Conscience by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be learning about the Holy Spirit. So many times, people think of the Holy Spirit as a mere force or simply our conscience. He is so much more than just a sense of right and wrong. The Holy Spirit is the promised helper from Scripture and we must have a good understanding of what He means for us as believers. The title of this week’s message is “BEYOND CONSCIENCE.”
Counting the Cost by Pastor Abidan Shah

When it comes to our salvation, we have to count the cost. We have to ask ourselves, “What all am I willing to give up in order to be saved?” Please don’t misunderstand. Giving up doesn’t save us. Salvation from start to finish is the work of God. It’s only by grace through faith in the cross of Jesus and the empty tomb that we are saved. But, being willing to give up everything reveals whether or not we understand the gospel. It demonstrates how sincere and how committed we are to follow Christ our king.
Discipleship: Implanted by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the importance of the Word of God being implanted in our hearts. When we memorize Scripture, we hide God’s Word in our hearts to keep us focused on Him when life tries to steal our attention. The implanted Word within us responds to the external Word when we sit under biblical teaching and preaching. Likewise, the external Word stirs the implanted Word within us and calls us to action. This weekend’s message is titled “DISCIPLESHIP: IMPLANTED.”
Discipleship 1: Witnesses by Pastor Abidan Shah

Last weekend, I introduced the acronym WATER to help us understand what being a disciple should look like. This weekend, we’ll be examining the first of those elements of being a disciple; the message is titled “DISCIPLESHIP 1: WITNESSES.” We’ll be taking a look at Acts and seeing how the disciples were to be witnesses to those around them.
Children That Bring Delight by Pastor Abidan Shah

In this weekend’s message titled “Children That Bring Delight,” we will see what the Trinity has to say about being children who honor their parents.
A Marriage Made in Heaven by Pastor Abidan Shah

We will look at how the order in the Trinity has established the order in the family.
This message is desperately needed for every family.
Battle of the Gods: How the Trinity Changes Everything by Pastor Abidan Shah

In this series we will examine Jesus’s words in John 5 where He explains His relationship to God the Father. We will come face to face with the cardinal doctrine of the Christian faith – the Trinity. But don’t think for a moment that this will be some deep theological discourse or disquisition. Each message will be very applicable for our salvation, church, marriage, family, and world.
“When All Seems Hopeless” (2) by Pastor Abidan Paul Shah

Introduction: This evening I want to preach a message I’ve preached before but not from the pulpit. I preached it in front of our fireplace last winter when we were snowed in and, if you remember, we came together on Facebook Live and Periscope. This sermon comes from one of my favorite passages from the Bible – Romans 15:13 and it’s called – “WHEN ALL SEEMS HOPELESS.”
DIGGING DEEP 13 BY ABIDAN PAUL SHAH

In this lesson we will tie it all together.
DIGGING DEEP 12 BY ABIDAN PAUL SHAH

The role of the Holy Spirit in Biblical Interpretation: Introductory Questions – Does the work of the Holy Spirit in your heart guarantee accurate interpretation? How can two people taught by the Holy Spirit have conflicting views on a passage? Does the Holy Spirit give us deeper meaning that cannot be reached by a normal study of a passage? In what way does the Holy Spirit guide our understanding in the study of God’s Word?
WHEN ALL SEEMS HOPELESS

Are you facing a hopeless situation in your life? Do these words sound familiar? – “I’ve given up…” “I just don’t think it’s going to work…” “There’s nothing else left…” Do you know the impact hopelessness makes on your personal health? According to a 1997 article published by the American Heart Association – those who have gone through extreme feelings of despair had a 20% greater increase of arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) over a 4-year period. If hopelessness is your daily companion, then today’s message is for you. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will bring hope to your heart so that you can live again. But let me remind you – you cannot have the Holy Spirit until you accept Jesus as your Savior. Are you saved?
THE DIFFERENCE THE HOLY SPIRIT MAKES IN OUR LIVES

We often hear message after message about how we should do this and not do that. This Sunday we are shaking things up a little bit. You will be hearing brief testimonies about what happens when the Holy Spirit gets hold of a person’s life. This does not mean that we never falter. Each of the men who will be sharing will be quick to remind you that they are not speaking because they have mastered the art of the Christian life. Instead,it’s only by the grace of God that they are standing.
