This weekend, we continue through the first chapter of 1 Peter. Peter shows his readers the importance of being sober-minded and having the resolve to stay focused on God and what He is doing, even in the face of uncertainty. Joshua and Caleb are known for showing courage and steadfast faith in the face of difficult odds. In our series on the family through the book of Genesis we come across the episode where Jacob comes face to face with his old foe Esau. Jacob is afraid for his life and his family but God meets him first and breaks him. As a result, Jacob and Esau reconcile and are able to move past their old hurts.

The previous three messages were laying out the foundation for the series. This one is application all the way.
