The Journey by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, our message will focus on expanding what our teenagers learned this weekend. We will take a look at different moments in Moses’ life and the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness. God was faithful to them every step of the way, guiding them through the unknown and meeting their needs. The title of this weekend’s message is “THE JOURNEY.”

God’s Calling Card by Pastor Abidan Shah

We are trying to understand what Jesus meant when He told His opponents “Moses wrote about Me.” The question is – how and where did Moses mention Jesus? Another clue is found in John 1:12-14 where Jesus is described as coming down to dwell among us and allowing us to see His glory and His grace. Did you know that this was “GOD’S CALLING CARD” in the Old Testament, especially Exodus 34:5-7?

Looking for Grace and Truth by Pastor Abidan Shah

If you remember from last weekend’s message, Jesus told His opponents “Moses wrote about Me.” The question is – how and where did Moses mention Jesus? The clue is found in John 1:14 “…we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” If you want to find Jesus in the Old Testament, look for “grace and truth.” Those are the marks of the second person of the godhead.

Believing is Seeing by Pastor Abidan Shah

Many people are looking for evidence before they can place their faith in Christ. This is contrary to what Jesus told those who opposed Him. He challenged them to re-read Moses because “he wrote about Me.” The reason the Pharisees couldn’t see Jesus in Moses’s writings is because they didn’t believe Moses.

TWO GIFTS WORTH OPENING THIS CHRISTMAS

We take time off, brave the crowds, and spend our hard earned money to buy presents because we like to see our loved ones happy. We find joy in seeing them excited. So also, God takes delight in seeing us open the two greatest gifts He sent us in His Son Jesus – grace and truth. This is one message we cannot afford to miss. Many Christians are living in condemnation when they should be walking by grace. Other Christians are living in lies when they should be walking in the truth. Grace lifts us up and truth sets us free.
