Fearless Love by Pastor Abidan Shah
As you know, this weekend we will be celebrating Easter as a church. What a wonderful time of worship and rejoicing as we remember the resurrection of our Savior. We will be taking a look at the story of Jesus’ resurrection from the perspective of His followers. How did it affect them? How did they respond? For many of them, their actions were fueled by something much deeper than obedience. They were motivated by a love that gave them boldness and purpose. The title of this weekend’s Easter message is “FEARLESS LOVE.”
Fulfilled: Location of Jesus’ Birth by Pastor Abidan Shah
In this message, we will be focusing on the location of Jesus’ birth. In his account of the birth of Jesus, Matthew quotes a prophecy written by Micah pertaining to Bethlehem as the birthplace of the Messiah. This had powerful implications for the people during Micah’s day, those that Matthew was writing to, and for us as well.
The Grave-Robber by Pastor Abidan Shah
Death has always been our enemy. It rips a child from its’ mother, a friend from a friend and a lover from a lover. It can be expected or unexpected. In this message we will see that Jesus came to set us free from the power of death.
SACRIFICE: THE MISSING LINK
In Matthew 1 we meet Joseph the unsuspecting participant in God’s divine plan of redemption. The Bible refers to him as a righteous man who did not want to publicly humiliate Mary. He had been advised by his friends and family to leave her quietly. God sent His angel to talk him out of it and be the earthly father of Jesus. Joseph could have refused but he didn’t. What an amazing sacrifice he made! If there’s one attribute lacking in present day Christianity, it is sacrifice. We do what is expected of us and a tad bit more but that’s it. Sacrifice is putting our plans, goals, dreams, and comfort on the altar for the kingdom of God and His people. Bottom line: we can never sacrifice too much. Jesus did that!
PRAISE UNDER PRESSURE
It is easy to praise God when things are going great but it is very hard to praise Him when they’re not.
WHEN YOU NEED THE HUMAN TOUCH
God wants us to connect with godly people who will bring wisdom and comfort in our life.
