Mindset: Part 2 by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are continuing our study of the mind that God has given us. Having laid the foundation of our series titled “MIND RESET,” we are turning our attention to the mind itself. How is it structured and influenced? Many will point to genetics and upbringing as the determining factors that shape a person’s mind. But can the mind be renewed? This weekend’s message is titled “MINDSET PART TWO.”

Mindset by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking further into Paul’s letter to the Philippians. He encourages them to change their mindset to that of Christ. In order to change a mindset, though, we must first understand what the mind is. This message will help us gain a foundational understanding of exactly what we mean by the “mind” and how it affects our daily lives. The title of this weekend’s message is “”MINDSET.”

Royal – Our Shepherd King by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are looking at Jesus as our protector. Jesus referred to Himself as the Good Shepherd who cares for and protects His sheep. Even in the Old Testament, God was known as His people’s protector. The title of this weekend’s message is “OUR SHEPHERD KING.”

Repent and Believe by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the response to the gospel. It is not enough to merely hear the truth; we must respond to the gospel. Our response must be made up of both repentance and belief. They are two sides to the same coin. The call of the gospel is to turn from sin and to believe in Christ as your savior. This weekend’s message is titled “REPENT AND BELIEVE.”

Crucified and Risen by Pastor Abidan Shah

This message is titled “CRUCIFIED AND RISEN.” The point of the message is this –The crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus are not just historical facts. They are a present reality. They are more than just events from the past that save us. They are events in the present that free us from the grip of sin and give us the power to live. After we get saved we are to live the crucified and risen lives.

Anointed by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn to Jesus Himself as the Christ, the One promised from the beginning. Every page of the Bible, every story it contains points to Jesus as the One who will defeat sin and the grave. If we are going to rightly understand Scripture, we must interpret it through the lens of the cross. The title of this week’s message is “ANOINTED.”

Kingdom Here by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are focused on the kingdom of God. Many times, we think of God’s kingdom as a future reality, something that has yet to come. However, when Jesus came, he inaugurated the kingdom of God here on earth. Through His teaching and His life, He taught His disciples how to live a life fitting of God’s kingdom. The message this weekend is titled “KINGDOM HERE.”

First, Believe: Introduction by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are starting a brand new series. Before you can be a disciple, you must believe in Jesus and trust Him for salvation. At the heart of everything that a disciple does, there must be a desire to see the lost come to faith. Over the next few weeks, we will be talking about salvation and recapturing a desire to see the lost around us believe for the first time. This series is titled “FIRST, BELIEVE.”

Discipleship: Overcoming Obstacles by Pastor Abidan Shah

For the message this weekend, we will be returning to Jesus’ words in the Great Commission. Jesus ended by saying that He would be with His disciples until the end of the age. This promise comforted the disciples when they encountered obstacles in the process of discipleship. They were able to overcome because Christ was with them just as He is with us. The title of the message for this weekend is “DISCIPLESHIP: OVERCOMING OBSTACLES.”

Discipleship 5: Reproducing by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we come to the final letter in our acronym WATER, showing us what a true disciple looks like. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells the Pharisees they should be less concerned with pointing out the shortcomings in others. Rather, they ought to get their own hearts right with God and lead others to do the same. Instead of tearing others down, they should be turning the minds and hearts of others to Christ. The title this weekend is “DISCIPLESHIP 5: REPRODUCING.”

Discipleship 4: Established in the Word by Pastor Abidan Shah

This messages marks the fourth installment in our series. Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus spent time teaching His disciples and those around Him the importance of the Old Testament and the prophecies that had been fulfilled. Disciples should be established on the truth of the Bible. The title of the message this weekend is “DISCIPLESHIP 4: ESTABLISHED IN THE WORD.”

Discipleship 3: Together by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we come to the third letter of the acronym WATER, which stands for “Together.” In the book of Acts, the believers were united by a common purpose and desire to see the gospel spread to the nations. Their unity made them stand out from those around them and drew people to the truth of who Jesus is and what He accomplished. The title of this week’s message is “DISCIPLESHIP 3: TOGETHER.”

Discipleship: Introduction by Pastor Abidan Shah

Our message this weekend is titled “DISCIPLESHIP 1: WITNESSES.” We will begin looking at Matthew 28 and Jesus’ charge to His disciples to go into all the world and tell people the good news of salvation. They were to be the mouthpieces for the message of redemption.

Drifting Allegiance by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, I’m preaching a message titled “DRIFTING ALLEGIANCE.” After His resurrection, Jesus still had many interactions with His disciples, teaching them and preparing them for when He would depart from them. The encounter we will be looking at is a tender moment between Jesus and Peter following his denial of Christ during the crucifixion. Jesus gently restores Peter’s focus and clarity on the mission God has given him.

Doubtful Faith by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, even though Easter is over, there is more for us to learn from this current series. I’m preaching a message this weekend titled “DOUBTFUL FAITH.” Thomas, one of Jesus’ disciples, was hesitant to believe the reports of His resurrection. He wanted firm proof that he could see and touch. He had to see Jesus and touch His wounds in order to fully believe.

Fearless Love by Pastor Abidan Shah

As you know, this weekend we will be celebrating Easter as a church. What a wonderful time of worship and rejoicing as we remember the resurrection of our Savior. We will be taking a look at the story of Jesus’ resurrection from the perspective of His followers. How did it affect them? How did they respond? For many of them, their actions were fueled by something much deeper than obedience. They were motivated by a love that gave them boldness and purpose. The title of this weekend’s Easter message is “FEARLESS LOVE.”

Senseless Obedience by Pastor Abidan Shah

Typically on Palm Sunday, we hear messages about Jesus entering Jerusalem. However, this year, I want to focus on what takes place immediately before His entrance into the city. Jesus commanded His disciples to untie a colt and bring it to Him to ride upon. On the surface, this command doesn’t make sense, but the disciples obeyed anyway. The title of this week’s message is “SENSELESS OBEDIENCE.”

Defining Gospel by Pastor Abidan Shah

Our series takes a different turn this week. The message is titled “DEFINING GOSPEL.” We have been examining Paul’s relationship with the Philippian believers. This week, we are taking a look at Paul’s usage of the word “gospel.” If Paul looks at everything through the lens of the gospel, then we must understand what he means by the term if we are to rightly interpret the rest of the book.

Perspective by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend’s message is titled “PERSPECTIVE.” Paul told the Philippians that everything that happened to him, both good and bad, served to spread the gospel. He even said that God used those who were preaching out of a spirit of competition with Paul to get the message of salvation to the nations.

Transformed by Pastor Abidan Shah

The title of this message is “TRANSFORMED.” We will examine three very different individuals who encountered Paul and whose lives were completely changed by the power of the gospel. God used Paul’s ministry to meet these people where they were and transform their lives.
