Greater than Religion by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will take a look at how Jesus’ birth was perceived by the religious leaders of His day. They were used to being in power and navigating the political climate of that day for their benefit. However, the coming of Jesus radically changed their way of life. The title of this weekend’s message is “GREATER THAN RELIGION.”

Greater than Rulers by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will focus on the impacts of Jesus’ birth on the regional ruler, King Herod. Many of us are familiar with his name, but we will see how exactly his life and his position was impacted by the birth of the Messiah. The title of this weekend’s message is “GREATER THAN RULERS.”

Greater Than Rome

This weekend, we are beginning a brand new series focused on Christmas, titled “GREATER.” Through this series, we will focus on the society and political structure during the time of Jesus’ birth. Even though times change, people, situations, and politics remain the same. In this first message, we will take a look at the Roman Empire and how it was affected by Jesus’ birth. The title of this weekend’s message is “GREATER THAN ROME.”

Greater Plan by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are continuing through the first chapter of 1 Peter. Peter is reminding the Jewish people that their lives should not be built around things of this world that will fade away or fail. Rather it should be established upon the eternal truth of God’s Word and their identity as believers. The title of this weekend’s message is “GREATER PLAN.”

The Admonition by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are continuing our study of the life of Peter. There was an incident where Paul had to correct Peter. Instead of bristling up, Peter not only accepted that correction, but goes on to praise Paul. It is difficult to accept admonition from others, but God often uses that as a way to course correct our behavior or our understanding. The title of this weekend’s message is “THE ADMONITION.”

The Restoration | Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will examine one of the lowest points of Peter’s life and how Jesus responded to bring him back. After denying Jesus, Peter was disheveled, his boldness gone. Then Jesus brings him out of despair and restores his focus on the mission. The title of this weekend’s message is “THE RESTORATION.”

Dual Citizen by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, as we near the election, we will be looking at critical issues that should impact the way we think and act. We should not be conformed to this world, but we are called to shape culture and push back against the darkness around us. The title of this weekend’s message is “DUAL CITIZEN.”

Unsearchable by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we continue our study of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. Paul reminds the believers that the church is essential because it is intended to reveal the wisdom of who God is to the world. We are called to proclaim and make known the character of God and His plan for the world. The title of this weekend’s message is “UNSEARCHABLE.”

Pathway by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be focusing on Proverbs 22:6. This is a well-known verse, but when times are stressful or difficult, we are quick to forget God’s promise when our children are trained up under godly instruction. The title of this weekend’s message is “PATHWAY.”

Impart by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we come to the end of Joshua’s life. Israel had continued to struggle with idolatry, even passing that struggle on to the next generation. Children were having the same issues their parents did. Joshua challenges Israel to think about what they are passing on to their kids. The title of this weekend’s message is “IMPART.”

Prayer: Practice by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be in the second part of our series on prayer. Once we understand the doctrine of prayer, it will impact the way we pray. Our practice of prayer shows others what we believe about God and His ability to work in our lives. The title of this weekend’s message is “PRAYER: PRACTICE.”

Adopted Father by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, I want to talk about more than just biological fathers. Throughout Scripture, we see godly men investing in and mentoring younger men. Perhaps the most famous example is that of Paul and Timothy, whom he refers to as his son in the faith. This Father’s Day weekend, I will be preaching a message on these adopted fathers who help guide us spiritually.

Cost by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at Jesus’ words to His disciples. He describes the cost of living a life of obedience to God and taking up their crosses to follow after Him. This parable caused the disciples to examine their hearts and determine if they were truly willing to forsake all others and follow Jesus. The title of this weekend’s message is “COST.”

The Plan by Pastor Abidan Shah

Our plans may fail. Our plans may get disrupted. Our plans may have to be revised. But, God’s Gospel Plan does not fail, will not get disrupted, and it’s not open to revision. The Plan of Salvation is the only hope for every man, woman, boy, or girl. Today it can happen for you and change your life forever.Which plan are you trusting in for your salvation? Your Plan? The Church Plan? The Denomination Plan? The wrong plan of salvation will cost you your soul. Are you truly saved? Repent, Believe, and Follow Jesus Christ.

The Witness Stand by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be taking a look at something we all know to be part of the Christian but many struggle with: evangelism. We have heard the commands in Scripture to go out and spread the gospel, but have a difficult time putting them into practice. Scripture does not call us to be the prosecution or defense attorneys in God’s courtroom. Nor are we supposed to be the judge of jury. We are witnesses to Christ and what He has done. The title of this weekend’s message is “THE WITNESS STAND.”

Counting the Cost by Pastor Abidan Shah

When it comes to our salvation, we have to count the cost. We have to ask ourselves, “What all am I willing to give up in order to be saved?” Please don’t misunderstand. Giving up doesn’t save us. Salvation from start to finish is the work of God. It’s only by grace through faith in the cross of Jesus and the empty tomb that we are saved. But, being willing to give up everything reveals whether or not we understand the gospel. It demonstrates how sincere and how committed we are to follow Christ our king.

Discipleship: Intercession by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the importance of prayer. Throughout Scripture, we see the emphasis on prayer and the privilege of talking to our Heavenly Father. Jesus, Paul, James, and many others in the New Testament talk about the importance of prayer, not only for ourselves but interceding on the behalf of others, too. The title of the message this weekend is “DISCIPLESHIP: INTERCESSION.”

Discipleship: Restoration by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are looking in the book of Galatians at Paul’s charge to restore someone caught in sin. As you heard in an earlier message, none of us can go through the process of discipleship alone. We need one another to help us stay focused and to bring us back to God when we lose our way. The title of this week’s message is “DISCIPLESHIP: RESTORATION.”
