Abundance by Dr. Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at the parable of the talents. Through this parable, Jesus is teaching his listeners to be good stewards of the resources that God has given them here on earth. The title of this weekend’s message is “ABUNDANCE.”

Watch by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will look at the first of three parables that deal specifically with prophecy: the parable of the ten virgins. Jesus used this parable to teach a fundamental truth about the kingdom of Heaven. No one knows the day or the hour when Christ will return, but it is up to us to be ready. The title of the message this weekend is “WATCH.”

Treasure by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the parable of the man with a surplus harvest. He wanted to build bigger barns to make room for his harvest and then sit back and enjoy the easy life. However, God declares that his riches are meaningless in light of eternity. The title of this weekend’s message is “TREASURE.”

Neighbor by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the parable of the good Samaritan. This is one of the most well-known parables, and yet we will hear its challenge with fresh ears this weekend. Just like Jesus’ original audience, we are called to be a neighbor to those around us. The title of the message this weekend is “NEIGHBOR.”

Cost by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at Jesus’ words to His disciples. He describes the cost of living a life of obedience to God and taking up their crosses to follow after Him. This parable caused the disciples to examine their hearts and determine if they were truly willing to forsake all others and follow Jesus. The title of this weekend’s message is “COST.”

Shrewd by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be taking a look at the parable of the unjust steward. This is the most difficult parable to interpret. However, once we unravel the layers, the truth that Jesus is communicating to His disciples is just as powerful and impactful for us today. Jesus warns his disciples to be wise and shrewd in their dealings with others. Just because we are believers doesn’t mean we operate with blind trust and naiveté. The title of this week’s message is “SHREWD.”

Reward by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the parable of the parable of the workers in the vineyard. The owner of the vineyard hired the workers at different times, but still gave each a generous reward for their work. It wasn’t based on the hours they labored, but rather on the grace of the owner. The title of this weekend’s message is “REWARD.”

Justified by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at the parable of the Pharisee and tax collector. Both characters came to God in prayer, but their hearts were in very different conditions. The Pharisee compared himself to the tax collector, thinking he was justified in the eyes of God. But as we will see in this message, God’s standards are very different from our own. The title of this weekend’s message is “JUSTIFIED.”

Obedient by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be taking a look at the Parable of Two Sons. Jesus told this parable in response to an interaction with the religious leaders of the temple who had a problem with His authority. Through the parable, Jesus illustrates the importance of repenting and following God’s plan. The title of this weekend’s message is “OBEDIENT.”

Forgiven by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be turning our attention to the parable of the two debtors. Through this parable, Jesus illustrates God’s mercy and the people’s misunderstanding of forgiveness. There are two individuals who respond very differently according to the size of their respective debts. The title of this weekend’s message is “FORGIVEN.”

Backsliding Mind by Pastor Abidan Shah

In this final message, we take a look at Paul’s warning against falling back into a sinful pattern simply because he is absent. He tells the Philippians to stand firm and not turn away from the things that they have learned or the work that God had begun in them. The title of this weekend’s message is “BACKSLIDING MIND.”

Envious Mind by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will take a look at another roadblock to having the mind of Christ: an “ENVIOUS MIND.” When you are constantly looking at others and comparing yourself or what you have, the process of God working in your heart is halted. Envy is the enemy of unity in the church and working together for the sake of the gospel.

Yield by Pastor Abidan Shah

Having laid the foundation for what our mind is and what it means to have the mind of Christ, we now turn our attention to the application. We cannot will ourselves into righteousness. It’s not something we can force, but something we submit to and that God develops within us. The title of the message this weekend is “YIELD.”

Lord by Pastor Abidan Shah

We are continuing in our series through Philippians 2:5-11 called “MIND RESET.” We’ve been studying the words of Paul and what it means to have the mind of Christ. This Easter weekend, we will learn what it means for Jesus to be called “Lord.” Sometimes we overuse that word to the point it begins to lose meaning. We will look at the term with fresh eyes this weekend in our message titled “LORD.”
