This weekend marks the beginning of our study of end-times prophecy! This series will shape our church and our understanding of God’s plan. While we will spend a considerable amount of time in Revelation, this weekend I want us to begin by looking at the book of Romans. We cannot rightly understand end-times without first grasping the relationship between God and the nation of Israel. God has always had a special plan for his people and that includes what will happen in the time to come. This first installment in our series will focus on the relationship between God and Israel and why that matters for our understanding of end-times prophecy.

In fact, recent events should show us that God is still very much guiding and guarding America. It is time for believers to set the example of returning to the truth of God’s Word. This is the bedrock upon which our country was founded and it is the guiding light that will lead us into the future. This weekend, we will be reminded that we do in fact live in a great nation.

Jesus used this shocking story to show His audience how their attitude toward the True Cornerstone was impacting their eternity. They were rejecting Jesus and, as a result, God would take the Kingdom away from them and give it to those who would truly recognize Jesus as the foundation of our faith. This weekend, we are examining the parable of the wise and foolish builders. Jesus compared his listeners to builders who constructed houses, one upon a rock and the other on sandy ground. He gave a vivid picture of what happens to individuals who hear the Word but do not obey it. The title of this weekend’s message is “BUILT.”

This weekend, we are taking a look at Paul’s words to Timothy regarding the importance of studying the Bible. He encourages Timothy to remind others to regularly study the Scriptures without falling into pointless debates that only create division. Proper study of the Word ensures that men and women have a firm foundation of truth. The message this weekend is titled “DISCIPLESHIP: ROOTED.”

This weekend, our message is titled “STEADFAST.” Paul encouraged the Philippians to stand up under persecution and maintain an eternal perspective on the sufferings of life. He tells them to remain steadfast, but it’s not an individualistic command. Paul tells the Philippians to stand firm together, being unified for the sake of the gospel.
