This weekend, we are continuing our study of Isaiah 53. Isaiah writes about someone suffering in our place. The suffering that was meant for us was laid upon another and we were healed as a result. This idea is one that is directly tied to the very core doctrines of Christianity and our understanding of the cross. The title of this weekend’s message is “VICARIOUS.”
This weekend, we will explore the doctrine of prayer from Scripture. So many times in the Bible, God outlines for us the nature of prayer and the importance of talking with our Heavenly Father. The title of this weekend’s message is “PRAYER: DOCTRINE.”
This is the third message in our series, focusing on the manner of Jesus’ birth. Many people today will claim to be Christians, but denounce the virginal conception. This is critical to our faith, though, as it not only proves Jesus is the Son of God but that He is the One promised from the Old Testament. It sets Him apart from any other religion or deity that promises salvation.
The book of 1 Peter in the New Testament encourages believers to remember that temporary suffering is an opportunity to make them more like Christ. He writes that, although this life is chaotic and uncertain, God’s Word is eternal and unchanging. It is only in the Bible that we can find peace, hope, and the answers to our deepest needs.
Contrary to what many consider, the resurrection of Jesus is not some stale doctrine based on some event that took place 2000 years ago. In fact, it is one of the most applicable doctrine of Christianity.
We will look at how the order in the Trinity has established the order in the family. This message is desperately needed for every family.
In this message titled “Choose Jesus, Choose Life” we will look at the central role played by the second person of the godhead in our salvation. No one can skip Jesus and get to God. He is the source and the goal of our salvation.
This message is focused on the character of the first person of the godhead - God the Father. In John 5 Jesus gives us the attributes of God the Father. This message has great relevance for the family today, especially fathers because it gives us the marks of a good father. No dad can afford to miss this message.
In this series we will examine Jesus’s words in John 5 where He explains His relationship to God the Father. We will come face to face with the cardinal doctrine of the Christian faith – the Trinity. But don’t think for a moment that this will be some deep theological discourse or disquisition. Each message will be very applicable for our salvation, church, marriage, family, and world.
In the final chapter in Romans, Paul commends the Christians for their obedience, which “has become known to all.” At the same time, he also warns them that they are in grave danger from “those who cause divisions and offenses.” Just because things are going great does not mean that we are immune from trouble. In fact, this is the time we need to become alert to the tactics of the Enemy. Truth has to be guarded. Unguarded truth can be a terrible weakness.
