How is it structured and influenced? Many will point to genetics and upbringing as the determining factors that shape a person’s mind. But can the mind be renewed? This weekend, we will be looking further into Paul’s letter to the Philippians. He encourages them to change their mindset to that of Christ. In order to change a mindset, though, we must first understand what the mind is. This message will help us gain a foundational understanding of exactly what we mean by the “mind” and how it affects our daily lives. The title of this weekend’s message is “”MINDSET.”
Last weekend, I introduced the acronym WATER to help us understand what being a disciple should look like. This weekend, we’ll be examining the first of those elements of being a disciple; the message is titled “DISCIPLESHIP 1: WITNESSES.” We’ll be taking a look at Acts and seeing how the disciples were to be witnesses to those around them.
The title of this message is “TRANSFORMED.” We will examine three very different individuals who encountered Paul and whose lives were completely changed by the power of the gospel. God used Paul’s ministry to meet these people where they were and transform their lives.
Contrary to what many consider, the resurrection of Jesus is not some stale doctrine based on some event that took place 2000 years ago. In fact, it is one of the most applicable doctrine of Christianity.
