Inspiration by Dr. Abidan Shah

Last weekend, we compared the Bible to the Qur’an and looked at how both Islam and Christianity view inspiration and the content of each book. This weekend, we will examine the sacred texts of Hinduism and how they compare to the Bible. The title of this weekend’s message is “INSPIRATION”.

Obedient by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be taking a look at the Parable of Two Sons. Jesus told this parable in response to an interaction with the religious leaders of the temple who had a problem with His authority. Through the parable, Jesus illustrates the importance of repenting and following God’s plan. The title of this weekend’s message is “OBEDIENT.”

Lord by Pastor Abidan Shah

We are continuing in our series through Philippians 2:5-11 called “MIND RESET.” We’ve been studying the words of Paul and what it means to have the mind of Christ. This Easter weekend, we will learn what it means for Jesus to be called “Lord.” Sometimes we overuse that word to the point it begins to lose meaning. We will look at the term with fresh eyes this weekend in our message titled “LORD.”

The Name by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are continuing our study of Philippians 2:5-11, talking about the name of Christ. Paul wrote that God has given Jesus the name above every name. Jesus is referred to by many different names throughout Scripture. We are going to gain a deeper understanding of His name this weekend. The title of our message is “THE NAME.”

GOD’S WAY AND GOD’S TIMING

When God gave the promise that a virgin will give birth to a child who will be the Savior of the world, the people did not understand its meaning. In fact, they dismissed it as a foolish idea. How could a little child save us from the coming Syrian-Ephraim invasion? Instead of listening to the prophet Isaiah, King Ahaz of Judah sought the help of the king of Assyria. In the end, they all suffered.
Sadly, we look everywhere else but towards God during times of trouble. We want God to work in our life but we want Him to do it our way and in our timing. What we fail to realize is that God’s ways are much higher than our ways. All we can do is humbly submit to His authority and when we do, we see God’s size results in His timing.
