Prodigal by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are taking a look at one of the most iconic parables in Scripture: the parable of the prodigal son. Typically, people focus on the son who loses his way and squanders his inheritance, but there are two sons in this story. Each son communicates important truths that should give us pause and cause us to examine our hearts. The title of this weekend’s message is “PRODIGAL.”

Furnace by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will turn our attention to the parable of the wheat and tares. Jesus told this parable immediately following the parable of the sower, using similar language to communicate powerful truths to His audience. With this parable, Jesus challenged His listeners to think critically about their eternal destinations and to face the reality of hell. The title of this weekend’s message is “FURNACE.”

Fruitful by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at the parable of the sower, although the parable is really about the different types of soil. Each different type received the same seed, but only the good soil produced a fruitful harvest. Jesus used this parable to make his listeners take a critical look at their spiritual lives to see if they were bearing fruit. The title of this weekend’s message is “FRUITFUL.”

Heart Exam by Pastor Abidan Shah

Jesus employed stories to communicate powerful truths to His audience. However, many of His listeners had hardened their hearts to the truth of His message. His parables fell on ears that were no longer capable of understanding them. The title of this weekend’s message is “HEART EXAM.”

Episode 40: Summer Camps

This week the Clearview Church staff sit down to discuss the importance of summer camps in a young person's life. If you have any questions or have a recommendation for a topic send us an email at carpemanana@cleaviewbc.org.

Upbringing by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at the relationship between Paul and Timothy. Paul repeatedly refers to Timothy as his son in the faith and makes a point to shape him spiritually, something Timothy’s own father failed to do. The title of this weekend’s message is “UPBRINGING.”

Sustenance by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are celebrating the Lord’s Supper. This is always such a powerful time of worship as we remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. However, communion can often become just another ritual; something we do because we always have. This weekend, we will seek to understand the purpose behind communion and it’s significance for us. We will be reminded that Christ is our “SUSTENANCE.”

Backsliding Mind by Pastor Abidan Shah

In this final message, we take a look at Paul’s warning against falling back into a sinful pattern simply because he is absent. He tells the Philippians to stand firm and not turn away from the things that they have learned or the work that God had begun in them. The title of this weekend’s message is “BACKSLIDING MIND.”

Envious Mind by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will take a look at another roadblock to having the mind of Christ: an “ENVIOUS MIND.” When you are constantly looking at others and comparing yourself or what you have, the process of God working in your heart is halted. Envy is the enemy of unity in the church and working together for the sake of the gospel.

Fearful Mind by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will begin a miniseries within MIND RESET that takes a look at the roadblocks to having the mind of Christ. There are mindsets that need to be removed in order for us to allow God to work in us. The first roadblock we will look at this weekend is the “FEARFUL MIND.”

Exalted by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are continuing in our study of Philippians 2:5-11. God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him authority. We will look at what it means for Christ to be exalted and how that should impact our understanding of who He is and what our response should be. The title of this weekend’s message is “EXALTED.”

Humility by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the cross. This is one of the most powerful symbols, both in the church and in our culture as a whole. This tool of punishment and torture became the means of our forgiveness and redemption. The title of the message is “HUMILITY.”

Likeness by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are continuing in our passage from Philippians 2. Paul writes that Christ came in our likeness. Taking on a human nature means that Jesus understands in every way what it means to be human. He was truly fully God and fully man. The title of this weekend’s message is “LIKENESS.”

True Esteem (Part Two) by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are taking a look at the nature of Jesus. He is fully God, and yet He became fully man. Scholars have debated this for hundreds of years, and yet it was always part of God’s perfect plan of redemption. The title of our message this weekend is “TRUE ESTEEM PART TWO.”

Word Alive by Pastor Abidan Paul Shah

There is nothing like walking around these different locations, knowing that Jesus stood in the very same places. It is one thing to read about places like Jerusalem and Capernaum in Scripture, but to see them in person makes the Word of God come alive! This weekend, we will hear from some of the team about the places that had the most impact on them and how this trip has impacted their faith. The title of the message this weekend is “WORD ALIVE.”

Worship this Weekend at Clearview Church!

This weekend, as Pastor Shah is traveling, we will hear from several men who are going to share what God has laid on their hearts. It is such a blessing to be part of a church that is filled with godly leaders and teachers!  These messages will encourage and challenge us to live out our faith and to make Christ visible in our daily lives.

Forward by Pastor Abidan Shah

In the book of Deuteronomy, God’s people were reluctant to move forward. They delayed and took the long way around. Eventually, God had to get their attention and tell them to move forward in following His plan. The title of our message this weekend is “FORWARD.”
