This weekend, I want to preach a very special message on the lives of two men, Erastus and Babbius. Both of these men in the New Testament came from a slave beginning, but as far as we know, only Erastus came to faith in Christ. Because of that, he is mentioned by Paul several times in his letters while Babbius fades into obscurity. It is not our beginnings that matter. It is only our relationship with Jesus.
Teaching Families to Serve Together by Ryan Hill
Last weekend was such an encouragement to see people visiting ministry tables and signing up at our Ministry Expo! God is moving in our church family, and I am so excited to see what lies in the days and weeks ahead. We will have the ministry tables out in front again this weekend. Finding a place to serve isn’t just important for us as individuals; it affects the entire family!
At Clearview, one of the things we prioritize is being an intergenerational church. This means that older and younger men and women have the opportunity to serve alongside one another, learn from each other, and accomplish our mission of making Christ visible together. It is crucial for kids to not only see their parents serving, but to find a place to serve themselves. When the whole family attends church with a servant mindset, it fosters integrity, unity, and longevity in the church family.
