Sheepfold by Abidan Shah, PhD

This weekend, we are continuing to examine the pictures for evangelism that Jesus gives his listeners. Jesus refers to himself as a shepherd and extends that metaphor to evangelism by talking about bringing sheep into the fold. What are we doing to reach the lost and bring them to our shepherd, Jesus Christ? The title of this weekend’s message is “SHEEPFOLD.”

Parenting IQ: Identity by Abidan Shah, PhD

This weekend, we will be focusing on adolescence. These years are a time of determining one’s identity and questioning the world around them. We’ll be taking a look at some common questions and misconceptions regarding student ministry and be reminded of the importance of reaching our teens. This weekend’s message is titled “PARENTING IQ: IDENTITY.”

Re-Created by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are diving deeper into God’s creation of humanity. God made us male and female. The world around us is trying to blur the lines of being male and female, pushing the narrative of gender dysphoria and identity. As we learned last week, we must rely on the truth of God’s Word to guide our thinking in this discussion and to recapture God’s original design. The title of this weekend’s message is “RE-CREATED.”

Plunder by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we conclude Isaiah 53 and focus on the reward for Jesus’ obedience. Isaiah writes about Jesus’ seeing generations beyond Himself, pointing forward to the resurrection and His victory over death and the grave. We were stolen out of God’s hand, but Christ came to rob the grave and steal us back. The title of today’s message is “PLUNDER.”

Greater Plan by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are continuing through the first chapter of 1 Peter. Peter is reminding the Jewish people that their lives should not be built around things of this world that will fade away or fail. Rather it should be established upon the eternal truth of God’s Word and their identity as believers. The title of this weekend’s message is “GREATER PLAN.”

Adopted Father by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, I want to talk about more than just biological fathers. Throughout Scripture, we see godly men investing in and mentoring younger men. Perhaps the most famous example is that of Paul and Timothy, whom he refers to as his son in the faith. This Father’s Day weekend, I will be preaching a message on these adopted fathers who help guide us spiritually.

Single-Minded by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, our focus is on Paul’s command to the Philippians to be unified, pursuing God’s will together as a body of believers. Paul warned against division and encouraged his readers to be like-minded by pursuing the mind of Christ. The gospel is what keeps believers focused and moving toward a common goal. The title of this weekend’s message is “SINGLE-MINDED.”

Confidence by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at the account of Joseph’s family in Genesis and how God was still in control even when it seemed like everything was falling apart. Several times in Scripture, God reminds us that we can trust Him to work all things together for our good, even the things that are painful or difficult. The title of this weekend’s message is “CONFIDENCE.”

Watch by Dr. Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will look at the first of three parables that deal specifically with prophecy: the parable of the ten virgins. Jesus used this parable to teach a fundamental truth about the kingdom of Heaven. No one knows the day or the hour when Christ will return, but it is up to us to be ready. The title of the message this weekend is “WATCH.”

Produce by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at the parable of the barren fig tree. A tree that isn’t bearing fruit is really quite pointless. However, in the parable, the keeper of the vineyard sees the possibility of fruit coming from the tree with just a little care. The title of the message this weekend is “PRODUCE.”

Neighbor by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the parable of the good Samaritan. This is one of the most well-known parables, and yet we will hear its challenge with fresh ears this weekend. Just like Jesus’ original audience, we are called to be a neighbor to those around us. The title of the message this weekend is “NEIGHBOR.”

Built by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are examining the parable of the wise and foolish builders. Jesus compared his listeners to builders who constructed houses, one upon a rock and the other on sandy ground. He gave a vivid picture of what happens to individuals who hear the Word but do not obey it. The title of this weekend’s message is “BUILT.”

Shrewd by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be taking a look at the parable of the unjust steward. This is the most difficult parable to interpret. However, once we unravel the layers, the truth that Jesus is communicating to His disciples is just as powerful and impactful for us today. Jesus warns his disciples to be wise and shrewd in their dealings with others. Just because we are believers doesn’t mean we operate with blind trust and naiveté. The title of this week’s message is “SHREWD.”

Reward by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we turn our attention to the parable of the parable of the workers in the vineyard. The owner of the vineyard hired the workers at different times, but still gave each a generous reward for their work. It wasn’t based on the hours they labored, but rather on the grace of the owner. The title of this weekend’s message is “REWARD.”

Debt: Part 2 by Pastor Shah

This weekend, we will take a second look at the parable of the unforgiving servant. This time, we will be looking at the parable through the lens of extending forgiveness to other people. Offering forgiveness after we have been wronged is often difficult to do, but when we understand what we have been forgiven by God, it becomes the obvious choice. The title of this weekend’s message is “DEBT: PART TWO.”

Debt by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be looking at the parable of the unforgiving servant. This servant didn’t have the proper perspective on debt or the forgiveness that he received, which led him not to forgive his fellow servant. Many times, the struggle to forgive comes from a misunderstanding of our own sin debt and the depth of the forgiveness of God. The title of this weekend is “DEBT.”

Obedient by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we will be taking a look at the Parable of Two Sons. Jesus told this parable in response to an interaction with the religious leaders of the temple who had a problem with His authority. Through the parable, Jesus illustrates the importance of repenting and following God’s plan. The title of this weekend’s message is “OBEDIENT.”

Consequence by Pastor Abidan Shah

This weekend, we are going to look at the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. There are two kinds of rich people: the benevolent rich and the oppressive rich. The rich man in this parable was oppressive and an unrepentant sinner. He did not show mercy to Lazarus, poor man, yet begged for mercy on the other side.
