For this Easter weekend, it is fitting that we turn our attention to heaven. There are many misconceptions about heaven, with some people even taking Bible verses out of context or misinterpreting them. We have already learned about the bodily resurrection coming one day, but where will those bodies go and what will it be like there? We will answer these questions and more in this final message of our series.
This weekend, we are examining a very curious account in Scripture: Enoch. The Bible doesn’t give very many details about his life other than that he walked with God and then was no more. However, there is much we can learn from Enoch’s brief account and apply to our own lives! The title of this weekend’s message is “COMPANY.”
Our plans may fail. Our plans may get disrupted. Our plans may have to be revised. But, God’s Gospel Plan does not fail, will not get disrupted, and it’s not open to revision. The Plan of Salvation is the only hope for every man, woman, boy, or girl. Today it can happen for you and change your life forever.Which plan are you trusting in for your salvation? Your Plan? The Church Plan? The Denomination Plan? The wrong plan of salvation will cost you your soul. Are you truly saved? Repent, Believe, and Follow Jesus Christ.

This weekend, we turn our attention to the response to the gospel. It is not enough to merely hear the truth; we must respond to the gospel. Our response must be made up of both repentance and belief. They are two sides to the same coin. The call of the gospel is to turn from sin and to believe in Christ as your savior. This weekend’s message is titled “REPENT AND BELIEVE.”
This weekend, we are focused on the kingdom of God. Many times, we think of God’s kingdom as a future reality, something that has yet to come. However, when Jesus came, he inaugurated the kingdom of God here on earth. Through His teaching and His life, He taught His disciples how to live a life fitting of God’s kingdom. The message this weekend is titled “KINGDOM HERE.”
This weekend, even though Easter is over, there is more for us to learn from this current series. I’m preaching a message this weekend titled “DOUBTFUL FAITH.” Thomas, one of Jesus’ disciples, was hesitant to believe the reports of His resurrection. He wanted firm proof that he could see and touch. He had to see Jesus and touch His wounds in order to fully believe.
Introduction: This evening I want to preach a message I’ve preached before but not from the pulpit. I preached it in front of our fireplace last winter when we were snowed in and, if you remember, we came together on Facebook Live and Periscope. This sermon comes from one of my favorite passages from the Bible – Romans 15:13 and it’s called – “WHEN ALL SEEMS HOPELESS.”
Are you facing a hopeless situation in your life? Do these words sound familiar? – “I’ve given up…” “I just don’t think it’s going to work…” “There’s nothing else left…” Do you know the impact hopelessness makes on your personal health? According to a 1997 article published by the American Heart Association – those who have gone through extreme feelings of despair had a 20% greater increase of arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) over a 4-year period. If hopelessness is your daily companion, then today’s message is for you. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will bring hope to your heart so that you can live again. But let me remind you – you cannot have the Holy Spirit until you accept Jesus as your Savior. Are you saved?
